To whom it may concern.
Rice is an international food. One can eat it in different variation. You can cook less and many people can eat just put some water.
To cultifate rice you need a lot of arranged land with good water. In 1 ha (10,000 sq meter) an average of 60 bags of consumption rice is yielded.
With all the difficulties, time and cost rice is selling very cheap. In countries in the west they need the land for houses and they don't have good water for irrigation.
Compare with fuel oil they have an organisation (opec) to regulate the price.
But in the rice business we don't have an international unity where the prices can be settled down and make more profit for the farmers and the exporter. The countries with a great volume could unite and determine the best price for everyone(also the consumers).
When this will be done? That is my greatest wish.
Hopefully ones it'll be so far.
Thanks and success

There's rumours going on that the price of rice is likely to rise this April - effective 1st April this year.
Can you please tell me what may have been the cause of this rise in the price of rice from Thailand?
Thank you.

Dear Sir,
I heard from my friend that there is a nice overview of cargoes loading in the port in Oryza website. I tried to search but could not find the information about an overview of cargoes loading in the port. Would you please suggest how and where to get this information. It would be very useful for our jobs if we could get it.
Your kind attention and reply would be much appreciated.
Sincerely yours,
