We are rice a Rice Farmer's Association based in Nigeria. We are looking for investors to establish a state-of-the-art rice mill in our locality to take care of the problems we face with milling our rice. We sometimes have to wait for up to one year before we can get our paddy milled in the small mill that is available, and it is always of very poor quality. We are very unhappy with this situation. Can you help us to locate investors?

In regard to Mr Leigh's suggestion, the shift to brown or unpolished rice requires reengineering of marketing strategies, new packing standards that would prevent the dust from being shown up and the sizes of packings to cater to different subsegments of the markets. These require working capital at the farmer level and at the SME level with long gestation and low and acceptable collaterals for the banks and the financing institutions to readily consider. But these steps are most welcome.Yerramraju

Do you think there is a possibility that the world market may shift to the consumption of brown or unpolished rice in the near future due to some countries' need of a more healthy population. If so, then it would all go down to all our basic needs.... no need for more hi-tech machines like color sorters, etc..... What do you think?
